COV KIHON

Kihon Gumite are an essential element in the development of a students Karate. This DVD covers all ten Kihon Gumite demonstrating not just the movements but the technique and elements to successfully deal with an attacker. Many common errors and mistakes are also highlighted to assist students.


The NIKW has produced 3 dvd's which cover the complete grading syllabus up to black belt.

The DVD's contain demonstrations of the grading techniques by Sensei Oliver Brunton (7th Dan) and deal with the dynamics of Karate. In addition, other aspects of Karate are covered including breaking, and Kumite.
The complete set takes the person from beginner's st
age in karate to Black belt level and beyond.

NIKW Training DVD - 10th Kyu to 7th Kyu

The first in this series of dvd's introduces the student to the fundamental basics of Wado Karate. In addition to step by step guidance on the first four karate gradings in the syllabus (including Pinan Nidan), detailed examples of the common stances are shown.

The second dvd in the series looks at the second stage gradings. Included in this stage of the grading syllabus are all the basic techniques and the Pinan Katas Shodan, Sandan, Yodan and Godan. Additionally, a special section examines free-fighting techniques.


NIKW Training DVD - 3rd Kyu to 1st Kyu

The final dvd in the series looks at the brown belt gradings and the more advanced techniques required to prepare the student for black belt. The student is guided step by step through these difficult techniques.
This includes a close examination of the advanced Katas, Ku-Shanku, Nai-Hanchi, Bassai and Chinto.
An additional section looks at breaking techniques used in Karate.
