The NIKW set aside the weekend of the 15th & 16th October for its members to focus on Kumite training.
Members with instruction from chief instructor Sensei Brunton 7th Dan JKF, were given the added experience of British Open champion & World Wado-Kai 2015 Kumite finalist James Brunton.
Training with a wide variety of combinations awareness of distance, and the importance of speed & flexibility were focused on. All got the chance to develop techniques and combinations to use in future competitions.
Tailored training for younger members was given on Saturday, with Adults on Sunday enjoying some detailed & technical points to develop.
A grading examination was held on both days with many students passing their grade and moving on, in their progression.
