The Northern Ireland Karate-Do Wado-Kai is commited to ensuring Karate can be available for all, no matter what the physical or mental challenges people may have.
To this end, we would like to hear from all members of the NIKW, other associations, parents and the interested wider public on how we can best accommodate those with special needs within Karate.
We are seeking comments from you to assist in the content and nature of information that is provided online so that it can be accessed by those with difficulties.
- How can information be posted online?
- Audio content?
- Special Section to store all content together?
Training & Competition
We are also keen to know the type of facilities needed or activities those with disability feel most comfortable participating in.

- Visual impairment,
- Mental disability,
- Physical disability,
How best can those with special needs participate in training or competitions?
Classes exclusively for those with special needs or participate with other able bodied students
